Review the reasons we use the passive voice and give some examples of where it's often heard - news reports, business writing, instructions, scientific writing and anytime the emphasis is on the action not who/what did it.
Briefly review the present continuous tense and present perfect tense and go over the structures provided on the worksheet. Check that they remember what the past participle is, and where to find their reference list (lesson 9).
Have the students convert each sentence into the passive form, maintaining the verb tense. Check for grammatical or spelling errors and have them read their answers out loud.
