46 First Reading Part 3

**10mins - **Speaking Practice: Speaking Part 2.

- Present students with two images of people doing similar things. Students should describe, compare, and contrast the images. They will have one minute to complete this task. Students will also be required to respond to a question about their partner's photos. They will have 30 seconds to respond.

**10mins - **Review adverb placement:

- We can put adverbs in the font, middle or end of a clause.

- Suddenly, it started raining.

- The weather has often been bad this autumn.

- We were lucky because we saw some sun yesterday.

- Adverbs of manner usually come at the end position.

She sang beautifully.

- If the verb has an object, the adverb comes after the object.

We left the house quickly before she saw us.
