Teacher Guide

Now it's time for the students to try and choose appropriate verbs from the vocabulary they know, and use them in their past forms. Have them try to complete the sentences and see if they can find the words they choose in the word find.

Then they need to try and construct complete sentences using the given verbs. Have them start each sentence with 'Yesterday' to emphasise that the action happened in the past. Encourage them to use different subjects, and to add some details where possible. For example 'Yesterday I danced with my friends' (instead of simply 'Yesterday I danced').

Have them read their work out loud and congratulate them each time they correctly changed the verb into the past form.
