Introduce the table and talk about what kind of information it is providing. Ask your students where they might see this kind of information. Have them read out the names and help them with pronunciation. Check that they understand the words 'depart' and 'arrive'. Test their comprehension of the table by asking some questions such as " If I want to go from Nelson to Hamner, what time does my train leave? Once they understand how to use the table, have them read and respond to the questions. They will have to calculate the time passed between two times and express their answers in complete sentences. Explain that they need to pay attention to the use of the "from" and "to" prepositions.
