Teacher Guide

Point out that all the words in the box are adverbs. Circle the 'ly' ending and write an example sentence on the board to demonstrate how adverbs are used to describe verbs. Take turns to act out the words provided until they understand them.

Help the students label each of the images so they have some vocabulary to build from. Ask the students to think of a sentence for each image, using one word from the box. Impose any rules you see fit - for example if you want to review a certain grammar tense or structure. Check that they've written complete sentences and their spelling is correct. Have the students read their work out loud.
