Explain that adverbs of time tell us when an action happened, but can also tell us for how long, and how often. They are invariable.
Read through the adverbs in the box and check how many the students already know. Help them to understand the others. Have them give examples of things they do "never, sometimes, always" (the adverbs of frequency).
Have them read the sentences and look for clues to help decide which adverb fits in the gap. They may need to test a few to see that only one makes sense in each gap.
Have the students take turns to read out the completed sentences. Try to use these words in future lessons to help them retain this vocabulary.
