05mins - Review the online homework. What topics were discussed? Was the homework easy, medium or difficult? Answer any questions the students may have.
15mins: Pre-teach: Past participle - the third form of the verb. Write a list of 'past participle' verbs on the whiteboard. Then, say a verb in the present form. Students must try to guess which 'past participle' verb it is. Award points for correct answers.

1) Only use one word in the gap.
2) Consider whether a pronoun, determiner, auxiliary verb, question word or preposition can fit into the space.
3) Do not use the first word that comes to mind. Remember to consider multiple options before choosing an answer.
4) Once all the gaps are completed, re-read the text to see if it makes sense.
