Students need to read the notice in the box then choose which of the three statements matches it correctly. The correct statement will have all of the same information as the notice, but may sometimes use different words. Read the statements out loud together and discuss them. Ask students to explain why the wrong options are incorrect. Are there any unfamiliar words or phrases?
10mins - Introduction: Have the student(s) tell a story using the story cubes for inspiration. Write the following expressions on the white-board: before, when, then, while, after, it wasn't until, finally, during, immediately, first of all, whenever, as soon as. Encourage the student(s) to use each expression. Cross them out after they have been used.
05mins - Review the online homework. What topics were discussed? Was the homework easy, medium or difficult? Answer any questions the students may have.
10mins - Activity: Give the students the worksheet 25, "the broken hand" and get them to read it without answering it. When they have finished, take the worksheet away and ask them to write down the words that may fit in the missing spots. Compare the lists with the entire class. Discuss. Use example sentences.

1) Look at each sign or notice and decide where you might see it.
2) Read each sentence and decide if you're allowed or not allowed to do the thing mentioned.
3) Compare the sentences with the signs and notices before choosing an answer.
4) Review modal verbs.
5) Remind students some words might have the same meaning as a different word or phrase and their objective is to match the meanings.
