Discuss questions you would need to ask if you were searching for information about an event or competition. Brainstorm a list of situations you may need to ask information about: theatre show, museum visit, movie times, sports competitions. Have the students create 5 questions to ask about each event.
10mins - Activity: Discuss different terms that can be used to make suggestions: Shall we (go...) How about (going...?) Let's (go...) We could (go...) Would you like (to go...?) Have students stand in a circle, making suggestions to each other about what they should do on the weekend. If a student hesitates or repeats, they are eliminated.

1) Read the answer options and determine the vocabulary category.
2) Tell students to write the answer next to the box they think is correct. On the second listening check and write the correct answer IN the box.
3) The information students will hear does go in order, but listen closely for specific details.
4) Brainstorm synonyms for each answer option.
5) The recording will use different words and language than the words used in the answer options.
6) Each person says something they didn't do as well as the correct answer.
