Students need to read the notice in the box then choose which of the three statements matches it correctly. The correct statement will have all of the same information as the notice, but may sometimes use different words. Read the statements out loud together and discuss them. Ask students to explain why the wrong options are incorrect. Are there any unfamiliar words or phrases?

Ask the students to write 10 sentences - 5 using the words correctly and 5 using them incorrectly. Then, have the teams trade papers. They must decide which sentences are correct and which are incorrect.

1) Look at each sign or notice and decide where you might see it.
2) Read each sentence and decide if you're allowed or not allowed to do the thing mentioned.
3) Compare the sentences with the signs and notices before choosing an answer.
4) Review modal verbs.
5) Remind students some words might have the same meaning as a different word or phrase and their objective is to match the meanings.
