Lesson Plan

14 Movers Reading Part 2

10mins - Conversation: What is an example of a famous person? What can someone do to become famous? Who is your favourite famous person? If you could be famous, what would you be famous for?

05mins - Review the online homework. What topics were discussed? Was the homework easy, medium or difficult? Answer any questions the students may have.

05mins - Review: The 24-hour clock. Introduce time vocabulary terms: a.m., p.m., o'clock, past, to/till, a quarter past, half past, a quarter to, before, after, during.

10mins - Activity: Schedule for a famous person. Have each student imagine they are famous. They must create a schedule to show what a day in their life might be like, beginning with when they wake up and ending with when they go to bed. (Ex: Famous Football player: 6 a.m. wake up, 6:30 a.m. eat breakfast, 7 a.m. go running, etc.) Ask students about how long their 'famous person' does certain activities in a day. Ex: How long does *FP* eat breakfast for? How long do they sleep for? Etc.

10mins - Worksheet: 14 time - elapsed time

15mins - Test: 14 reading practice - part 2

05mins - Warm down: goodbye see you next time, points

00mins - Homework: Complete the next section of the online homework.
