Give some example sentences with superlatives and emphasise the structure: verb 'to be' + the + ------est
Review the verb 'to be' if your students aren't confident about which form to use with which subject. They can then go through and complete the first gap of each sentence, with the appropriate form.
Review the spelling rules for superlatives (covered in the previous lesson) and then have them complete the second gap in each sentence and then write three sentences with the words provided at the bottom. Check their work and have them take turns reading the complete sentences out loud.
