Teacher Guide

Lesson Plan

:

24 Movers Reading Part 3

10mins - Introduction: What's your name, age, and where are you from? Have you got any brothers or sisters? What's your favourite colour, hobby, food...etc. Ask some questions using 'which' or 'how many'. Encourage students to notice differences in the people/objects surrounding them. Ex: Which student is wearing a green shirt? How many windows are in this room? Etc.

05mins - Review the online homework. What topics were discussed? Was the homework easy, medium or difficult? Answer any questions the students may have.

10mins - Activity/Pre-Teach: possessive pronouns: Give each student a prepared pronoun or possessive pronoun card. Instruct students to find the student who has the match of their cards. For example, 'he' should match with 'his.' Once they have found their partner they work together to create two sentences about the same subject using the pronouns correctly. For example, This is Hugh, he is a dog and this is his favourite ball. Write and share.

15mins - Worksheet: page 25 - possessive pronouns

15mins - Test: 24 reading practice - part 3 - Review the answers.

05mins - Warm down: goodbye see you next time, points

00mins - Homework: Complete the next section of the online homework.
