06 Movers Reading Part 4

05mins - Introduction: What did you do last weekend? Did you see a friend on the weekend? Did you go somewhere? Do you do the same thing every weekend?

05mins - Review homework - Answer any questions students have about the online homework.

05mins - Hot Topic: What did you...? Each student must ask a question about something that happened in the past. Ex:...Eat for dinner last night... watch on TV...etc.) 05mins - Review: simple past: regular verb + ed. Irregular verbs change form.

10mins - Worksheet: 06 simple past

10mins - Game/Activity: Verb shootout: Students compete to change verbs from the simple present to the simple past.

15mins - Test: 06 reading practice - part 4

Test Tip

1) Students need to read the text and choose the correct word from a choice of three. For practice, have the students read the whole text without looking at the possible answers. Then look at the options and choose the best one for each gap, focusing on the words that come before and after the gap.

2) Remind the students to copy the words from the list for correct spelling. Read through the text together and check.
