13 Movers Writing Part 2

10mins - Conversation: What time do you wake up in the morning? What time do you go to school? What time do you do your homework? What time do you eat dinner? What is your favourite time of the day?

05mins - Review the online homework. What topics were discussed? Was the homework easy, medium or difficult? Answer any questions the students may have.

05mins - Pre-teach: The 24-hour clock. Introduce time vocabulary terms: a.m., p.m., o'clock, past, to/till, a quarter past, half past, a quarter to, before, after, during.

10mins - Activity: Time showdown: Split the class into two teams. The first member of each team will be given a time (Ex: a quarter past three in the afternoon). The students must write the correct time. Each correct answer earns one point.

15mins - Worksheet: 13 time - time passed

10mins - Test: 13 writing practice - part 2

05mins - Warm down: goodbye see you next time, points

00mins - Homework: Complete the next section of the online homework.

Test Tip

1) Before looking at the picture, read the questions carefully and underline keywords.

2) Pay close attention to question words and actions.

3) In questions 3-6 remind the students to write complete sentences!

4) Tell students to use the present continuous and adjectives to help identity what person is doing what action. (E.g. The girl with the red jumper is eating ice cream.)

5) Tell students to use prepositions to describe the placement of people in the picture.

6) Review the following verbs: doing, wearing, holding, pointing, sitting
