17 Movers Writing Part 1

05mins - Conversation: Which do you like better, sweet or salty? Which is faster, a fish or a shark? Which is a better sport, volleyball or rugby? Ask the students a variety of comparative-based questions.

05mins - Review the online homework. What topics were discussed? Was the homework easy, medium or difficult? Answer any questions the students may have.

05mins - Pre-teach - Comparatives. Adjective + ED. More + adjective. Irregular form. Give examples for each, and ask the students to create examples of their own.

15mins - Activity: Comparing pictures - Students work in groups of two. Give each group two flash cards and have them write one sentence finding a comparison between two animals. Rotate the flashcards until students have completed a desired number of sentences.

10mins - Worksheet: 17 comparatives

15mins - Test: 17 writing practice - part 1

05mins - Warm down: goodbye see you next time, points

00mins - Homework: Complete the next section of the online homework.

2) Look at the picture and read the text, then try to find the sentence with the information for each question.

3) Remind the students that they have to copy 1, 2 or 3 words from the text, they mustn't invent their answers.
