Lesson Plan

:

28 Movers Writing Part 1

10mins: Introduction: Speaking part 1 - Use the Movers speaking help cards to practice finding differences in two images. Ask the students to identify four differences, using complete sentences and appropriate nouns/verbs/prepositions to identify and describe the changes.

05mins - Review the online homework. What topics were discussed? Was the homework easy, medium or difficult? Answer any questions the students may have.

10mins: Activity: Have the students draw eight different objects on a sheet of paper, following prepositional commands. Have the students colour the objects as instructed, and write five sentences below the picture, describing the relationships of the objects using different prepositions.

15mins - Worksheet: 28 writing practice - part 1 - Review the answers. Have students circle or underline any words they don't understand. Make a list of these words, and tell the students to review them for homework. Next week at the beginning of the lesson, have a quiz.

15mins - Test: 28 reading practice - part 4 - Review the answers.

05mins - Warm down: goodbye see you next time, points

00mins - Homework: complete the next section of the online homework.

Test Tip

1) Students need to read the text and choose the correct word from a choice of three. For practice, have the students read the whole text without looking at the possible answers. Then look at the options and choose the best one for each gap, focusing on the words that come before and after the gap.

2) Remind the students to copy the words from the list for correct spelling. Read through the text together and check.
