Lesson Plan

:

30 Movers Reading Part 4

10mins: Introduction: Speaking part 1 - Useful language - Ask the students questions about themselves and their preferences. Ex: What is your name? What is your surname? How do you spell that? Where are you from? Do you study English at school? Discuss phrases that should be used if a student does not understand information, such as 'I'm sorry, could you repeat that?' 'I don't understand.' 'Sorry.' 'Sorry, could you say it again?'

15mins: Skill practice: In this activity, you will describe the plot of a film to the class. Before you begin, write 5 sentences on the board that should serve as the 'answers' to some questions you will ask after the story. Leave a blank space for certain information. Ex: 'The film was called _______.' 'I went to the cinema with ________.' etc. Begin to tell the story, including all the information that will be necessary to complete the answers. After, ask the students questions to find the missing information.

In your story, you could include details such as the name of the film, the name of the characters, a short summary of what happened, who you went to the theatre with, and how often you go to the cinema.

15mins: Worksheet: 30 reading practice - part 1 - Review the answers.

15mins: Test: 30 reading practice - part 4 - Review the answers.

05mins: Warm down: goodbye see you next time, points

00mins: Homework: complete the next section of the online homework.
