Lesson Plan

:

22 PET Reading Part 3

05mins - Conversation: What do you think are the 5 best things to take on a biking trip? Why might these items be important to bring?

05mins - Review the online homework. What topics were discussed? Was the homework easy, medium or difficult? Answer any questions the students may have.

10mins - Activity: Write a paragraph about yourself (roughly 40 words.) Use prepositions of place, time and movement. Leave 10 spaces where the prepositions should be. Have students trade papers and complete the sentences using the correct prepositions

10mins - Review: linking expressions: Because, as, so, since, therefore, such, enough, too, despite, although, in case, in fact. Discuss: definitely, probably, perhaps, likely, will, might, chance, won’t. Use linking expressions + adverbs of certainty to make predictions about what life will be like 20 years from now.

10mins - Worksheet: 22 linking expressions

15mins - Test: 22 reading practice - Part 3 - Review the answers.

05mins - Warm down: what will you do next week? This weekend?
