15mins - Conversation: Speaking part 3 - Have the students work in pairs to discuss the information presented. For private lessons, the teacher should assume the role of the student partner. Use the speaking card and the following prompt:
- Example: Now I'd like both of you to talk on your own about something. I'm going to give both of you a photograph of teenagers doing sports. Candidate A, here is your photograph. Please show it to candidate B. Now I'd like you to talk about it. (Time each student for one minute.)
- Speaking part 3 requires students to speak for one minute about a photo prompt. The students need to describe what they see in the pictures, making sure to focus their descriptions on what the people in the photos are doing/feeling/thinking.
- After the responses, ask students the following questions about their picture: Who are the people? Where are they? What are they doing? Why are they doing this? What are they wearing? What do you see in the background? What's the weather like? What season is it?
