(90-110)-Open and close with a salutation and a farewell.-Underline the questions that you'll need to respond at and respond specifically to all parts of the prompt.-Try to use different words and language than the ones that are used in the prompt. (e.g. borrow/lend - enjoy/would like)-When you've finished the task, reread your writing and tick the notes to ensure you've included them all.

10mins - Conversation: What is an example of a tradition? Does your family have any special traditions, like eating pizza on Wednesday nights, or going to the same place for a specific holiday? Describe, in detail, one tradition that is important to you. Do you think traditions are a good or bad thing?

05mins - Homework review. Discuss any questions or problems.

10mins - Review: Modal verbs -

- Ability: can/could

- Probability: may/might/could

- Permission: can/could/may

- Suggestion:should/shall/will

15mins - Test: 07 writing practice - part 1

10mins - Activity: alibi game - Half the class are suspects of a murder and the other half are their alibis. In pairs, they have to create the stories of what they were doing elsewhere at the time of the murder. They are then questioned separately, and the pair with the most differences between their stories are the guilty ones.

00mins - Warm down: goodbye see you next time

00mins - Homework: Complete the next section of the online homework.

Test Tip
