Remind the students of these useful hints:
-You must write about 100 words. (90-110)
-Open and close with a salutation and a farewell.
-Underline the questions that you'll need to respond at and respond specifically to all parts of the prompt.
-Try to use different words and language than the ones that are used in the prompt. (e.g. borrow/lend - enjoy/would like)
-When you've finished the task, reread your writing and tick the notes to ensure you've included them all. Go over useful phrases for making suggestions - such as 'I think we should....because....'..

- Has the student started with a greeting and closed with a farewell?
- Has the student written in an appropriate tone?
- Has the student responded to all of the information in the original message?
- Is it clear and easy to understand?
- Has the student written about 100 words?-Is the spelling correct?
