10mins - Introduction: Conversation - Discuss the relationship between the Catholic Church and science. Ask the student to talk about what she/he knows about this relationship and how she/he thinks it has changed over time. Ask for a prediction on how this relationship will change in the near future and what this could lead to.
05mins - Revision: Book work - Discuss the chapters of the book that were set for homework at the end of the previous lesson.
05mins - Comprehension: Answer the comprehension questions that accompany the newly read chapters of the book.
05mins - Mini Task: The student is to brainstorm and write down as many synonyms for 'remember' as possible. They are to write a sentence with each synonym.
e.g recall, recollect, reminisce, think back on, take a trip down memory lane.
"I recall that you used to live in that neighbourhood."
Encourage the student to use emotive, descriptive and language and to be as imaginative as possible with their vocabulary.

15mins - Creative Task: The student is to write about two distinctive and powerful memories they have and explain what it is about these moments that makes them so memorable. They are to utilise the synonyms for 'remember' that they brainstormed earlier in the lesson and use complex, involved vocabulary to discuss and write about these moments.
05mins - Warm down: I will set the student chapters of the book to read for homework whilst contemplating any new themes and/or characters that may have appeared.
