This is an introduction to the present continuous form. First review verbs, especially the ones listed in the box, by acting them out and seeing which ones the students already know.
Then emphasise that you are doing certain actions now. For example 'Now I am jumping', 'Now I am sitting' 'Now I am walking' etc. Write 'ING' on the board and repeat more examples together.
As the students complete the crossword, check their spelling. Help when there is a double consonant, such as in 'swimming'.
Underline the verb 'to be' in each sentence and show that it changes depending on the subject. Encourage the students to create some of their own examples to say to the class.

The next student must recite the phrase and the item the first person is bringing, then add their own item. Continue in a circle, with each student reciting the phrase and the list. If a student forgets an item in the list when it is their turn, they are eliminated.
