For each sentence ask the students to suggest possible pronouns from the list to complete the sentence. As they make suggestions, give examples of the context that would match their choice. For example, in number 1, discuss what the 'this' could refer to. Imagine who is asking the question? How are they feeling?
This worksheet can be extended into a drama activity. For each sentence, try to imagine the most dramatic scenario. Exaggerate reactions and try and improvise to add to each scenario. For the younger students you can do this in a guided way. For example, with number 2, let's say they've chosen the pronoun 'her'. Try saying it in different ways: angry, confused, disgusted, shocked, happy, scared.... etc.
Connecting the vocabulary to emotions and drama is a great way to make it more memorable for the students.
