Point to each picture and say the word out loud. Use gestures, pictures and facial expressions to repeat the words many times in a fun and entertaining way. Encourage the students to repeat along with you. When you feel they have become familiar with each word and what it means, help them to spell each one. First by orally saying letter by letter (helping them to recognise the pronunciation of the letters) then by writing them out if they need extra help.
These are all words about transportation so discuss these with your students using simple phrases and adjectives to discuss them in interesting ways. "Do you like cars?" "Wow, planes are fast!" "This boat is very big!" etc.
10mins - Introduction: What did you do last weekend? Do you often do the same activities on the weekends? Do you prefer to see your friends or spend time with your family? (Practice the verb in the simple past.)
05mins - Review homework. Discuss any questions or problems.
10mins - Activity: Excuses (present continuous review) Split the class into two teams. One team asks a question using "Why can't you (infinitive)." The other team must respond with an excuse. "I can't (infinitive) because I'm (present continuous). Continue alternating between teams until there is a repeat. The team who repeats is eliminated, and the remaining team is the winner!
E.g. 'Why can't you do your homework?'
'I can't do my homework because I'm watching T.V.'

1) Show students pictures of an object, use dashes to indicate the number of letters required. Have students spell the word.
