10 Starters Listening Part 4

10mins - Introduction: What is one thing you see on the desk? Who is sitting next to you? What am I holding in my hand? Where is your school bag? Ask questions about the location of objects in the room.

05mins - Review: Preposition song. 'In, on, under, in front of, behind.'

05mins - Review: Use preposition flashcards to reinforce understanding. Have students use hand gestures from the preposition song to demonstrate understanding.

10mins - Worksheet: 10 prepositions - Where is he/she

10mins - Game: 20 questions - Students must ask questions about the location of an object to identify what the teacher is thinking of. Ex: Is it on the desk? Is it in your hand? Is it next to the boy?

15mins - Test: 10 listening practice - part 4

05mins - Warm down: goodbye see you next time, points

Test Tip

1) Review prepositions.

2) Students must use preposition cues to choose and colour the correct answer. There are 7 of the same object, one is the example and one is a distractor. There are 5 answers.

3) Tell students they will hear listening twice, first time write the answer. The second time check.
