This is a vocabulary check presented as a cute riddle. Tell them that 2 of the options below won't be used.
It can be helpful to do a quick review of 'have got' and 'can' by giving some examples before starting such as 'I have got a blue t-shirt?' 'I can jump' etc.
After they've tried to match the words from below into the gaps, have them read it out loud and check that it makes sense. Check that they've understood each word. Cover up the labels and see if they can name the objects in the pictures. Have they put them in a logical place or just guessed?
For more advanced students, ask them follow up questions such as 'Do you like birds?', 'What do birds use to fly?' and 'Where do birds lay eggs?'.
10mins - Introduction: Beginner questions: what's your name, age and favourite day of the week? Have you got any brothers or sisters? What's your favourite hobby? What day do you do this hobby?
15mins - Activity: Speaking practice - using the picture cards ask the following questions "How many...? What's the .... doing?" "Where is the...?" Ask them to think of some of their own sentences describing what they see in the picture.
15mins - Game: spelling bee - simple past verbs. Have the students spell + act out the verb to earn a point.

1) Cover pictures and get students to guess the words before answering.
2) Teach students to look at words before and after each gap.
