Help the students to match the correct word to the animal picture. While they colour the pictures, talk to them and repeat the animal words.
10mins: Introduction - Beginner questions: What's your name, age, and where are you from? Have you got any brothers or sisters?
10mins: Review emotions - draw different faces on the whiteboard and ask students to say + spell them. Ask each student: How are you? Help them respond in complete sentences. (e.g. I am happy)
10mins: Review - animals - Play animal charades - students act out and guess animal names. See how many animals the students already know.
15mins: Worksheet: 09 animals - students connect the word with the animal picture, then colour the animals. For advanced students (who already know colour words) Ask them to colour certain animals specific colours. (e.g. colour the cow brown.)
10mins: Sing 'Old McDonald'

and on that farm he has a cow E, I, E, I, O
with a moo moo here and a moo moo there,
here a moo, there a moo, everywhere a moo moo

(repeat the verses using cat, dog, pig, etc. and their corresponding noises)
05mins: Warm Down: Goodbye + points. Pack up supplies, help students prepare to leave and straighten out the classroom.
