Help the students to find the words and then colour the letters with the correct colour. Have them repeat the letters as they spell out the words.The letters with vertical lines through them appear in 2 words so need to be coloured half with one colour and half with the other.
10mins: Introduction - Beginner questions: What's your name, age, and where are you from?
10mins: Name game - Students must say the name of all their classmates, using the correct pronoun. (E.g. His name is Federico, her name is Elena... etc.)
10mins: Review: Colours - Review colours using coloured markers. Ask students 'What colour is this' and have them respond 'It's (colour)'. Introduce question form: What's your favourite colour? (My favourite colour is________.)
15mins: Worksheet: page 03 - colour puzzle
10mins: Game: Colour countdown - place coloured pens all around the classroom. Say a colour, and students must race to find and collect that colour. Continue until all of the pens have been collected. The student with the most pens is the winner. For more advanced learners, spell the colours.
05mins: Warm Down: Goodbye + points. Pack up supplies, help students prepare to leave and straighten out the classroom.
