The students should first trace the first letter that has been provided for each word. Then they need to complete the word, using the help in the box. While they colour the pictures, repeat the house words with them out loud.
10mins: Introduction: Beginner questions: What's your name, how old are you, where are you from? Have you got any brothers or sisters?
Choose a student to stand up, and ask the other students: What's his/her name? Where is he/she from? Where is he/she from? Repeat this process until every student has had a turn.
10mins: Review: family words - Ask students to describe their family. Write family words on the whiteboard. Ask students questions about their families. Focus on use of 'have you got...?'
10mins: Review: House words - draw a house on the whiteboard with four visible rooms. Kitchen, bathroom, bedroom and living room. Then, ask students what you should draw in each room. Use furniture to help children understand which room is which.
15mins: My dream house - Students draw their 'dream house' and label the rooms.
10mins: Worksheet: 24 house rooms - colour for homework.
05mins: Warm Down: Goodbye + points. Pack up supplies, help students prepare to leave and straighten out the classroom.
