Guide the students to respond to each of the introduction questions, show them where and how to write the response on the worksheet. Have the students draw themselves in the centre circle and colour each segment of the circle edge (it can match the writing if they like). While they're colouring, repeat the questions.
10mins: Introduction - Circle time: Introduce yourself to the students. Tell them some personal information such as what your name is, where you’re from, your favourite colour and your favourite animal. Write on the whiteboard “What is your name?” Point to each student and ask their name. Do the same with ‘where are you from?’, and ‘How old are you?’. If the students find these questions very easy, you can ask a few, more complicated questions as an extension. (e.g. what’s your favourite food, have you got any brothers or sisters)
10mins: Review: Classroom rules and the point system - Stay in your seat, raise your hand, no speaking Italian.
10mins: Craft - Name tags - Review colours. Show students the pieces of coloured paper, and ask them to repeat each colour. On one side of the paper, ask the students to write ‘My name is ___________’. On the second side, have them write their age, favourite food and favourite animal and draw some pictures.
