Review that the verb 'to be' matches the pronoun, e.g. 'I am'. Show that 'I am' can be contracted to 'I'm'. Review the verbs (they can refer to previous worksheets) and remind the students that the present continuous describes an action happening now and is formed by adding 'ing' to the base verb. Have them convert the sentences as shown in the example, and then write two sentences of their own.
10mins: Introduction - Beginner questions 'What's your name, how old are you, where are you from, have you got any brothers or sisters? What's your favourite day of the week? 10mins: Review: 'Present continuous' - Line students up against the wall. Choose one student to go first. They will face the students so they can see what each student is doing. When the teacher says go, each student in the line will mime a different action. (e.g. brushing their teeth, playing guitar, riding a bicycle). The student whose turn it is will describe the actions of their classmates, using the present continuous.
