This worksheet is trying to help the students form complete sentences when using prepositions to answer questions with 'where is/are...?'. Repeat the questions as they colour the picture and make sure they answer with the complete response.
10mins: Introduction - Beginner questions 'What's your name, how old are you, where are you from, have you got any brothers or sisters? What's your favourite day of the week? What do you usually do on this day? What's one thing you like? One think you don't like? What's one thing you can do? One thing you can't do?
05mins: Review - present continuous. Call each student to the front of the class to mime an action. Their classmates must guess what they're doing using the present continuous.
10mins: Review - Prepositions: Review preposition cards. Ask students to place objects around the room. After, ask students to describe the position of objects using complete sentences.
15mins: Worksheet: page 19 - prepositions
15mins: Activity: 20 questions. The teacher will hide a ball or object in the room. Then, students will take turns asking questions about its location. E.g. 'Is it under a desk?' 'Is it in a bag?'. The student who guesses correctly gets to hide the object next. Continue until all students have had a turn.
05mins: Warm Down: Goodbye, see you next time + points
