Have the students draw themselves over the picture and then describe themselves out loud. They can use the adjectives provided and add their own too.
10mins: Introduction - Circle time: Introduce yourself to the students. Tell them some personal information such as what your name is, where you’re from, your favourite colour and your favourite animal. Write on the whiteboard “What is your name?” Point to each student and ask their name. Do the same with ‘where are you from?’, and ‘How old are you?’. If the students find these questions very easy, you can ask a few, more complicated questions as an extension. (e.g. what’s your favourite food, have you got any brothers or sisters)
10mins: Review: Classroom rules and the point system - Stay in your seat, raise your hand, no speaking Italian.
10mins: Game: Two truths and a lie - students write three statements about themselves on a piece of paper. Two should be true, and one should be false. After, each student reads their statements, and the other students try to guess the lie.
15mins: Worksheet: page 02 - adjectives
10mins: Activity: Students present their workbook page to the class. After each student presents, ask questions about what they've said. (E.g. what adjectives describe this student? Which adjectives don't describe this student?) Encourage students to respond in complete sentences using correct pronouns. (he/she's)
05mins: Warm Down: Goodbye + points
Check the spelling of the adjectives chosen.
