Start by drawing a family tree of the characters and introducing the different family word. Explain that a person can have different labels depending on who is the reference. For example you can be a sister, a daughter, an aunt, a wife....etc. Explain that they need to label each character from Maggie's perspective, and write the word in the crossword. Note that some family words have more than 1 form, such as grandad / grandpa / grandfather.
10mins: Introduction - Beginner questions 'What's your name, how old are you, where are you from, have you got any brothers or sisters? What's your favourite day of the week? What do you usually do on this day? What's one thing you like? One thing you don't like?

If a student is incorrect, they are eliminated.
