Teacher Guide

This worksheet will help to extend the students' vocabulary beyond the basic adjectives they should already know (big, small, hot, cold, fast, slow etc).

Ask them to look at the adjectives provided in the box and circle any they don't know yet. Help them to understand the meaning with pictures, symbols, example sentences and acting it out.

Once they've understood each adjective, they should be able to try and place them in the sentences. Have them read the sentences out loud and check that they make sense.

After they've finished see if together you can write down the opposite for each of the adjectives in the box too. Have them use them in a sentence too.
