Lessons and quizzes on forming and using adjectives in the comparative form.
This is a mini course themed on the comparative structure. It gives students and overview of how to form comparatives and outlines the different spelling rules depending on the adjective form. It also tests students on recognising when and how to use comparatives in a variety of sentences.
The course is divided into three different difficulty levels to allow students to work at the level appropriate to their language knowledge:
Students will learn how comparatives are used in English and the rules regarding the spelling of the comparative form of different adjectives. They will learn to recognise when it is appropriate to use the comparative form (as opposed to the adjective or superlative) and become familiar with some of the common irregular forms.
