This is a mini course centered on the superlative structure. It provides students with an overview of how to form superlatives and details the different spelling rules depending on the adjective form. It also tests students on recognizing when and how to use superlatives in a variety of sentences.
The course is segmented into three different difficulty levels to cater to students according to their proficiency in the English language:
Students will learn how superlatives are used in English and the rules regarding the spelling of the superlative form of different adjectives. They will learn to recognize when it is appropriate to use the superlative form (as opposed to the adjective or comparative) and become familiar with some of the common irregular forms. Mastery of superlatives will enable students to describe the extreme qualities of subjects in various contexts effectively.
